Quality Assurance (QA) Programs - The policies and procedures radiation therapy centers follow to make sure the treatment team works together to make the treatments as safe as possible. QA programs are usually created by the medical physicist. An important part of the QA program is taking precise measurements of the radiation beam and performing other safety tests on a regular basis. Patients and caregivers are encouraged to ask about the QA program at the center where they are receiving radiation treatment. -
